Similar to the overwhelming majority of other reviewers who have posted here, I had a very negative experience with this Hertz location. Other Hertz locations at airports elsewhere have been wonderful, but the safe/ownership at this location are deceptive if not outright dishonest -- by far the worst Hertz franchise I have ever dealt with.
I would give a zero if possible- 0 out of 5 DO NOT RECOMMEND. They will answer questions in advance with one answer, and when you arrive - everything changes. We planned months ago, maybe 8 to 9 months in advance to rent a car. We would drive it from Juneau onto the ferry and go to haines and skagway to do other activities, then come back within a four day span. Might be the rudest person I have ever met and one of the worst customer service experiences, as well. Could not have cared less.
I’m normally a fan of Hertz but I would recommend avoiding the Juneau Hertz. They have very limited hours and it’s impossible to get in touch with them (tried multiple times). Our flight was delayed which meant they were closed by the time we got around 8:45 pm and then also closed the next day (Saturday) which meant we had to go with a local company (Juneau Car Rental Company went above and beyond and saved our trip).
If I could give Zero stars I would. I have Never heard of a rental car place working banker hours of Mon through Fri 9am to 5pm!!! I flew out on Sat and left my Work cell phone in the car on accident but already dropped the keys in the lock box and there is No Way to contact anyone till Monday!! Are you kidding me! I live in Anchorage and need my phone back! And I did locate my device so I know 100% for sure it is in the car.
