We rented a car at Hertz through the Southwest Airline combine and save promotion. The car we rented broke down just as we were pulling in to our Airbnb. We were about 2 hours north of the airport rental facility. When I called to report that we had no vehicle, I began a six hour transfer nightmare of u believable proportions. They finally settled on having a tow truck company drive to pick up the vehicle. Either my spouse or I could ride back with the tow driver and pick up another car. One of the worse rental car places ever. Breaks went out, road side doesn't assist and they claim where i rented is private owned so no other locations will exchange this vehicle. Im not done with this company. Putting lives at risk with cars that should be ready to drive in good condition but don't have any breaks and need oil changes within 200 miles driven. These cars are not ok to drive on road and you charged me top rates and I WAS a gold member. Not anymore.
Worst place first time I heard that if you don’t have your own personal insurance you can’t rent a car even you purchase insurance online
