Hertz provides vehicles in good working order, well maintained and operational but needs to address pricing of pickup trucks! No need for price of rental to exceed twice the price of a SUV? Prohibitive pricing which someone needs to explain to me?
Beware. Corrupt rental location. They file a fraudulent damage claim 24 hours after returning vehicle. Despite rental drop off agent declaring vehicle returned intact. This scam is becoming more and more prevalent. PLEASE protect yourself with before and after photos/videos. Ensure your credit card provides rental insurance. Scam scam scam.
Excellent service from start to finish. Team member at the counter was professional, efficient and polite. Once outside, another team member helps to the vehicle and they were friendly, polite, happy, and helpful. This experience was much more enjoyable than the one 2 weeks prior at YVR. Kudos to this Halifax team!
Up to the old tricks 1) told we had an immaculate car; on inspection, scratched bumper and fender and two curbed rims 2) got “that email”. ohhh we noticed after you handed the car beck more damage!! avoid, clearly up to the old hire car tricks.
Everything went smoothly, quickly etc. Good value. Friendly, helpful staff. It is a pity that NS law doesn't force car rental companies to put winter tires on cars in winter - even if a modest extra charge had to be applied.
