I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Hertz from start to finish. I picked up the vehicle at 7:20 AM and return it 11PM, and almost that entire time was wasted sitting in the car waiting for it to charge. I was given a Tesla with over 125,000 km on it, and the battery performance was very poor. It showed 97% when I started, but after about 150 km, it dropped to around 30%. When you rent a vehicle from an airport car rental company... expect the customer service to be reflective of that. You are one of a million people who need a car when they land, and they have the cars. Our airline changed our flight last minute and we were arriving earlier than originally planned. Extremely disappointing experience with the Hertz Halifax Airport location. I was incorrectly charged for fuel and additional fees despite returning the vehicle with a full tank (filled at the gas station right next to the airport) and having a fully prepaid rental. When I called on April 8 at 8:57 AM, I was informed by their own representative that the charges were applied in error due to mileage not being properly recorded in their system. I booked my car rental through Expedia (never again) and unexpected flight changes meant I had to change my pickup and drop off times for the car. Expedia was impossible to reach by phone and I could not do it online. Luckily, after trying to navigate their awful AI phone bots, I called Hertz at Halifax airport and even though they were not at all obliged to help me, they did.
