Rented a car for 10 days in Halifax. No real issues. Waited in line for about 40 minutes picking it up. Also I booked the car through Booking. Com. I didn't realize that I was purchasing insurance through Booking and not Hertz, so if there was a problem I was told I have to pay Hertz and be repaid from Booking. Fortunately there were no issues. But a lesson learned for next time. Car return was quick and uneventful.
New car
Front desk agent was not helpful. Did not receive the car I booked. Said it was first come first serve. Even though I showed up on the time of my booking. Because the other person showed up first they got my car.. Didn't offer me any other cars, or any upgrades because of this mistake. I felt like I got a downgrade. Do not book the Polar star EV if you want to get low km distance and very slow charging car. Very basic model. No agent in the morning to return the vehicle and talk to someone, did a key drop. Insurance way more expensive than expected
This team is amazing! After a less than stellar traveling experience with Air Canada, the Hertz team helped us rebook our rental, made sure it was clean and absolutely perfect when we finally arrived at the Halifax Airport, and answered all questions very kindly. They were a fantastic team! Our return was perfect quick, easy and we were back on our way home. Thanks to all for everything you do!
