I just returned a rental after 34 days. They gave me the truck at what they said was 95% full I stopped and filled the truck to what I thought was the same level and on a $4656.98 bill they still added $20.44 for gas. Apparently I was 2 gallons under. Throughout the rental I was not able to call anyone on the phone. I was not able to payoff part of the rental unless I returned the vehicle that was my daily Driver. Never again will I use Hertz. Absolutely no costumer service. They just don’t care, period.
Run away, run away, run away. I will never again take a vehicle from them or any other company with their name. I was on vacation with my 11-year-old daughter. I returned my vehicle in perfect condition, and they found a way to take 400 USD from me under the pretext of "cleaning for smokers" It's a disgrace. I'm now going to take legal action against them and assert my rights because I can't tolerate this kind of behavior, this dishonesty, but reading the comments nothing surprises me anymore. The lady who helped us was very pleasant and very nice to work with. The location was easy to get to but we could not find a gas station to refill the car and because of an accident on the freeway the roads were all blocked with cars getting off at 11400 so entrance. On a normal day this would be a convenient place to rent a car.
Don't trust the Hertz system to honor pick-up times if booked by insurance. Their system doesnt talk to each other. The poor person behind the counter constantly has to deal with people with confirmation numbers and appointments but they can't do anything because they don't have anything because the system didn't let them know. Hertz Corporate, please fix your system.
The only place I will rent! Such great staff and always make the experience fast and friendly!
