7 day truck rental from this location. Departed NWA at 4am headed west. 45 miles into trip the Toyota Tacoma (6k miles) engine shut off on the interstate. All power lost. Coasted onto shoulder and turned off power. After assessing the situation, I turned truck on again. Multiple error messages and check engine lights instructed me to take tuck to dealership immediately for a power drive / shift malfunction. The lady in the office was super rude and didn't care to assist me at all. They don't inform you that you can't rent a car with an out of state license unless you have a major credit card. She rudely told me i would need to call customer support to cancel but wouldn't even give me the number to do so. Customer support was no help. They said that I could reserve one for tomorrow and use a debit card now. That doesn't help me since I'm stranded now. Terrible customer service all around.
Can't even begin to explain how rude and unprofessional the "Manager" is at this location. I travel for work 300+ days a year, dealing with many rental agencies all over the South and Midwest. This was the first time to use Hertz and it will absolutely be the last, not because of the company or car, but solely due to the Manager of this location and the way she treated me and other customers. Rudest front desk ever. Foul language, zero manners, pure arrogance. Treated like trash from the moment I walked in, never coming back. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
