I had fully prepaid my booking through Hertz Europe, but was charged again in full upon pickup at Ayers Rock. Despite presenting confirmation documents and even contacting Hertz Customer Service in Europe by phone, the local staff insisted no payment had been made. There was no willingness to investigate or acknowledge the issue at the counter. The best car rental experience in Australia! Marie helped me through the rental process. She not only upgraded me for free but also gave me extra km (birthday) so I could visit all the sites in 24hs! She gave me this very helpful map with park, sunset/sunrise, treks, resort info too! My car was very new, clean and very comfortable! Expect long lines as there are only two people working at the counter but they make sure to answer all the questions and don’t rush you through the process!
