If zero stars was an option, then I'd choose it. I walk into the office and the guy there looked at me like he was offended at my presence. I hand him my license, and he sighs at it and starts giving me a hard time. Then he asks about my insurance and questions I've never been asked at other rentals. Do not rent from Altoona PA they don’t have cars here. I took an uber to get here and now I am stuck
Such a hassle - don't waste your time here. Go up the street to Enterprise. You may pay a little more, but you'll be treated better. They don't tell you on the main Hertz site that that particular Altoona location wants your declarations page from your insurance and be fully covered. Wants to see all the authorized drivers, even though I was the only one renting/driving the vehicle. I've never had to show that, nor my insurance card, but they wanted everything. Do not rent from these jokers not only did they not have my reservation in their system which I made through their website, they also do not disclose which locations require full coverage insurance anywhere on their website so when I arrived to pickup my vehicle they not only did not have me in the system but wouldn’t even let me rent from there even if you but their insurance for your car. Save your time and money and go somewhere else
They had no flights for two days but would not let me transfer the car to the nearest airport. Also had zero options to get from one to the other. They charge you for everything they can but have the worst customer service when they fall short
