Extremely disappointed with Hertz Airlie Beach Downtown. Yesterday afternoon we arrived with a confirmed reservation, only to be told that our booking was not in their system and that no cars were available. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff member at the desk. She was rude and seemed in a hurry to close rather than help us find any solution or alternative, even an apology. I had a very good experience. The staff member from Peru was very kind, and the whole process went very smoothly. The car was in good condition.

On the phone they told me $134 dollars. Then I see they charged me $154. Then when I called them they said these are extra charges which they didn’t explain could have!! They said 200km limit!! When I was getting the car and I asked for the conditions, they didn’t mention . Be aware extra charges and the game they play. $154 for one day of Kia tiny car!!! Funny they admit they charged extra in Airlie beach! If you charge extra you need to explain at the time of getting the quote.

Returning car here was easy. I asked the lady to check for the damage straight away and initially the reply was “cars got checked in the evening “, but after asking politely again the car was checked straight away. Overall a much better experience compared to Hartz PPP.
