Everything perfect. Friendly staff, new car, no bad surprises
I booked a car 3 weeks in advance and later decided to cancel 2 weeks before my rental date. To my surprise, I was charged a mysterious $50 fee even though I canceled well ahead of time. This makes absolutely no sense. The reason I canceled is because I read several reviews saying that this company often doesn’t even have cars available. They charged us an extra $102 when we got there compared to what was advertised. If Hertz was actually “sorry” they would refund me the addition $102 that they didn’t include in the reservation and wouldn’t charge me extra for their failure to adequately stock their inventory.
Nur was amazing! So easy, got a great car and the staff were great and I was in and out in 10 minutes! Definitely coming back!
I showed up today for my Gold reservation and they told me they had no cars available. The cars were coming but delayed due to a parade uptown. No ETA. They said they could call me when cars arrive. Laughable. I cancelled and got an Uber. Hertz has been going downhill for years. I’d been using Enterprise instead. MUCH better. But figured I’d give Hertz another try due to good location and pricing in Manhattan. Done. Bye.
