Overall good experience with them. Rented a 2026 jeep Wrangler. Was cleaned nicely and people were nice, just when driving around I heard a noise in the glove compartment and it was a bottle of pills of a former rental. So that really was about it. Other than finding that it was a good experience.
First time using Hertz at Hilton Head and it all went smoothly. Manager had us all ready to go. The vehicle was clean, in perfect condition and had a full tank of gas. It was a simple affair without any drama.
My flight was late and National went home, but the Hertz counter stayed open for another guy on my flight and he couldn't have done any more to be accommodating and helping me get into a reasonable price. Check in was just as helpful and accommodating. I will be using Hertz at HHH again.
Small airport with cars right at airport (great) and small enough that you have to wait in line to get a car (not as good).
