⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Unacceptable Experience with Hertz! As a business owner and Hertz President’s Circle member, I am beyond disappointed with the treatment my employee received during a business trip. This was hands down one of the worst rental car experiences we’ve encountered. My employee was initially given a vehicle that smelled strongly of marijuana. I was given the type of vehicle I asked for but it smelled of cigarette smoke which took almost 2 full cans of Febreze to help control although it never really went away. Interior wasn't very clean and the biggest issue was the windshield having a large streak on the inside which I took care of myself.
I had a great experience with the location in Concord, NC. The young man that handled my reservation was extremely polite and courteous. He explained the whole process to us and made sure we understood. He was quick and efficient. The vehicle was clean and ready on arrival. We were able to return the car a day early using the convenient drop box at the location. This was my first experience with Hertz at this location. I will be returning for future rentals.
We rented a car on 9/9/26. The employee Bill was fantastic. He was left alone on a busy afternoon. He always pleasant and apologetic for taking so long getting to our rental. Never an unkind spoken word. Stayed over to help everyone that was there. He deserves a raise or recognition. Ron Hollifield
