Someone rented a car from Hertz with Gold account and credit card. I had to wait on hold for over an hour on two separate days and they still haven’t straightened it out yet. Hertz is a ship of imbeciles, especially “Corporate”.
Quoted $76 and charged $262.41 for a 24-hour 29-mile rental of a compact Ford Edge. The Million Air people are typically unsuccessful at getting the local Hertz people on the phone so they end up having to take your credit card and license even if you're a gold member. Hertz won't talk to you on the phone about an overcharge so the only way to get a charge corrected is via a cumbersome Visa card dispute process. Probably smarter to use Enterprise.
