Okay the people are nice. But who manages a company, gives gold membership, reserves cars, and then creates a nice waiting room because they have no cars available and responds when asked when they will have a car - I don’t know maybe 40 minutes. Apparently it happens so often that “let’s make a waiting room instead of buying cars and managing the process”. Well this is stupid and I guess I need to look for a better managed company. I reserved a car weeks in advance, but still had to wait in line for an hour and a half after my flight. On Friday, September 25th, I arrived to find a massive queue with only one agent working the Hertz counter. Meanwhile, competing rental desks had multiple agents and zero wait times. The customers in line became incredibly frustrated because management failed to balance the queue. I was given a car that indicated the gas tank was full. In fact the tank was 3 gallons less then full. As the short changing had happened with another agency, I actually was able to put just over 3 gallons of gas in the tank immediately after picking it up. For anyone reading this, do as I now do, go to the closest gas station and see how much gas the rental agency has actually shorted you.

Hertz Rental Car company, especially the Rochester Airport Location, is the ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! I made the absolute mistake of booking through Priceline without knowing which company they would put me with....well Priceline put me with HERTZ and it has been an absolute disaster. From the time of picking up the car until dropping the car back off, it has been nothing but a headache.
