Just wanted to share a positive experience I had recently at the Hertz Car Rental in Burlington NC. My sister’s flight to Lexington KY was cancelled due to weather related issues and she could not get home for days, according to the airline. She needed to be back to receive her chemotherapy, so we contacted Charles Sartore at the Burlington office. He helped us solve the problem with a one way rental car pronto! Car was pre-ordered over a week in advance. Got there at pickup time and no car was available for us. They said we could wait on a car to be dropped off but it was supposed to be dropped off by the time we arrived. Not sure if they expected us to wait for the inspection and detailing of the car so we didn't get a car that was going to be however the last renter left it or not. Had to call to cancel the reservation as to not get charged for cancellation.
I reserved a van 3 months in advance then on the day I was to pick it up I called that morning to make sure they had my van. Charles told me they did not but he was calling around to other Hertz to find one. Mind you this was spring break week and is exactly why I reserved a van so far in advance. He said he would call me back. I called back but no one would answer and you couldn't leave a message. Made a reservation several weeks ahead of time for a family vacation. Arrived at pickup time and there were no vehicles available. Also worker on site was no help getting our refund.
Scam. Fraud. Website allows you to rent, check in and enter credit card info. Paid someone to take me to the location, no cars available. Not just no cars available today, none available for a week. I plan to sue for the uber fee and court cost unless I am made whole
