This is a pick up and drop off location only!! It is for people flying in to the airport and they will not bring a car for anyone not flying into the airport. You cannot rent a car here. The main Hertz office is in North Fayetteville.
I was booking a rental for work and went through the main Hertz site and booked at this location because it said they had vehicles available. The website said NOTHING about this rental location being "restricted" to the general public. The day I am supposed to pick up my rental, I get a call from someone at this Hertz telling me that this location is for people using the airfield and that it would be $200+ for the day, even those I booked the car online for around $100 for the day. The location only services Drake Field flyers and they have some concierge service. No cars on the lot. Something to know.
This Hertz outlet shows as a regular location on the Hertz main page and will even let you generate a reservation however once you go to pick up you find out it only services Drake Field passengers, the location is closed (despite being operating hours), there is no answer on phone, and the Drake staffer you grab for any help tells you they either don’t have any cars, or, wait wait only for Drake flyers. Dumpster fire.
