Absolutely disgusted with Hertz. I had a car booked for ten months in advance, all paid for up front to be called by Hertz the day before to cancel my booking. I stressed my frustration and insisted a Manager call me back, I was then hung up on and no call received from Manager. They haven’t even explained how they will refund. I have now had to pay for a second vehicle from a reliable company. Word of advice steer well clear.
Marie at Hertz was my hero! She saved the trip!!! Back story ( this is long , so you can skip to the bottom if you want): I picked up a rental from Charlotte through Dollar rental. I guess Hertz is the parent company. Terrible car... dirty (I had to bring wipes and clean up myself), wiper blades in poor condition (could not see through the windshield in the rain), key fab battery low (car wouldn't start after getting gas saying "key not detected", opening trunk...) No one around. Tried dozens if times by phone, no answer. Finally got an answer and couldn't understand what was required, so I suggested I turned up in person. Waited two hours and nothing. No one answering the phone. Use someone else guys.
After reading so many negative reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about collecting our hire car from the Hertz desk at the Hilton on International Drive. Thankfully, our experience was the complete opposite. The collection process was quick, easy and completely hassle-free.
