So simple and maybe spent 5 minutes at counter to pick up and easy to follow pick up and drop off and chose the mystery vehicle and scored a 2025 Dodge Ram Rebel and what a fantastic vehicle

Older woman at the counter was rude and unhelpful. She asked if we were flying in and when we said no, she said she couldn’t rent to us without having our own insurance on a vehicle. I always purchase insurance through Hertz. I am renting a car because I don’t have one. Why would I have my own private insurance? Why have I been able to rent through them multiple times without it? The woman at the counter was rude and unhelpful. We decided to go to Avis where they were wonderful. We won’t be renting at this counter again. Looks like I’m not the only one that has written a bad review. Hertz, you need to step up your game and teach your customer service agents some manners.

I booked online through the Hertz website. When i arrived I was informed that I would not be able to rent the car without also purchasing their insurance, because I don’t have my own insurance (I don’t have a car and my credit card provides insurance). This requirement was not provided in any of the booking details and the price of their insurance was more than the price of the car rental. Very frustrating experience and I decided to cancel my booking and rather than pay the exorbitant extra cost
