My car was involved in a hit and run. Through my insurance I chose Hetz because I had always had a great experience. I reserved an SUV and confirmed. I was rented a Nissan Altima. The car was dirty and stained inside. I took pictures. While signing paperwork the rep said to me no smoking or pets in the car. $1500 FOR THE ONE DAY I RENTED A CAR FROM HERTZ? They do not have it together. This location didn't know I returned a car until 8 days after I dropped it off to their closed location. Elaboration - I followed their self drop off instructions after renting an Altima for 1 day (location closed that day). The car must have sat for 8 more days in one of the 3 SPACES in front of their office before they noticed they had the vehicle. Do not ever do business with this location. I made the mistake of not fully topping it off immediately before returning and I was sent an email two hours after it was returned showing that it wasn't entirely full and asking me to call and then the invoice was closed 3 min later. I called when I saw the email two hours later and asked to rectify for a refund. I was initially told yes and then was told it couldn't be done because the invoice was closed. We rented a car for the weekend. Our experience was outstanding. Our rental agent Dolores was superb. She was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable . We will definitely be back !
