Franchise model left me stranded with a broken Volvo from Raleigh, as Hertz franchisees are not always obligated to assist drivers from other Hertz locations. (Raleigh / Columbia SC).

Upon landing in Colombia, I was able to get a car rental from hertz and my experience was amazing. I worked with a woman named Tracy who was an absolute trip. She was really sweet and provided an an easy transition through getting the paperwork done and getting handed the keys. Very grateful for the experience I had!

This has been the worst customer service experience I have had. The lady that was getting my information to rent a car for the day proceeds with payment and claims the only way payment can be accepted is through credit card. I have never had this happen, nor did the company claim that this was the only option for payment during registration for the car. If this is the policy I am fine with it. I retrieved a credit card from my girlfriend to pay and the lady would not accept. It is almost as if she does not want to do her job... read more

Rented a vehicle from Atlanta to Columbia. Returned the vehicle within 4 hours of picking it up in Atlanta on 01/31/2026. Hertz fraudulently charge me for several days, stating on the bill that I did not return it until 2/2/2026. Do not rent from them. I have been a gold member for years. I will no longer rent from Hertz because of this fraud.
