Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I had a confirmed reservation to pick up a rental car at the Shreveport Airport location on March 25. They advertise closing at 11 PM. I arrived at 10:30 PM—well before closing—and the counter was completely abandoned. No staff, no explanation, nothing. This left me stranded at the airport late at night. My flight to Shreveport was delayed over 2 hours on 3/18/2026. We should have landed at 10:52pm with just enough time to make the 11pm closing of the Hertz counter. We arrived just after 1am, by all the poor reviews I assumed I was out of luck getting my car. Since I had added my flight number to the reservation the woman at the counter waited until we arrived, she stayed over 2 hours past closing to give me the keys. Once we arrived there was no wait time car was ready and clean with a full tank of gas
Reservation was made 24 hours in advance of my arrival. Arrived on 3/10/26 at 3:50. Vehicle was not available. 2 hour delay receiving my vehicle. Resulting in missing funeral services. While asking how long the wait would be was told “a reservation doesn’t guarantee a vehicle”. Upon asking for clarification I was threatened by the oh so friendly female agent with “you can call corporate or I’ll call security”. Absolutely horrible customer service agent at the counter. Cant Thank the Staff enough for all of their help. Shannon was awesome and did everything with in her ability to help people get on the road. Shannon got us on the road home. Thank you again for all your help and awesome customer service on top of being a good hearted human being.
