Total rip off. I changed my pick-up and drop off times from 6:30PM to 2:30PM so the rental period didn’t change at all. The charge increased from $155 to $217 JUST for changing the time even though the total rental time didn’t change. They also tried to convince me if I didn’t pay $10 per day extra for a Sun Pass that I would pay a $13 penalty + tolls on every toll road, which is NOT TRUE. We made reservations weeks ago for 9:00am. It is 9:45am and they are still cleaning it. And we checked in online half hour early! and the lady says that they’re just busy because of some Oktoberfest or something but we are the only ones here. That is the reason you make a reservation and not just walk up. No sincere apology or anything. Customer service is gone!!
BE WARNED! This was my first time using Hertz and it will be my last. They do not check the vehicle when you bring it back which I thought was odd so I took pictures of the car and the dashboard just Incase they tried to charge me for anything that they shouldn’t. An hour after I dropped the car off I get an email that I’m being charged $18 for fuel?? The only problem is that I filled the vehicle a mile from the airport. Lady at the desk told me don’t worry about filling up the tank before turning it in the gas is only 3.13 a tank . When I turned in the car they charged me 45 $ . I tried to tell them I have time to take the car back to fill it only like $10 bucks the tank was 75 % full. But they charged me $45 as if they filled the tank.
