Horrible experience as a gold member. Vehicle was not cleaned, the tires were bald and the vehicle wobble that 55 miles an hour. The car was already asking for service being due since the oil was never changed, when I had to return the vehicle the key fob did not work so I'm almost missed my flight and had to have the vehicle towed back to the Airport. I had a guaranteed rental that I pre-booked and even as a gold member was treated very poorly at this location . Older tall yt guy with crusty mustache at the counter had every answer and patience for yt guy before me that had nothing reserved yet/not gold member but when it was my turn he told me to call customer service because he couldn't explain anything to me. Obviously being discriminated to who he deems worthy of decency and answers. Had to pay an Uber twice to take me to different locations only to be given the run a... read more
Platinum status yet told that even though I have a reservation, I have to wait 1 to 1.5 hours for my car. Seriously? Went to competitor next door and got car in 10 minutes. Then went to find someone to give feedback and no one around. Tough to come back… Latest update. I get a call from location 3.5 hours after I checked in ‘we’ve gotta car ready for you’. You can’t make this stuff up!
Do not rent from Hertz at the Syracuse airport. No cars available even with a prepaid reservation and a text message saying that my car is waiting. 11 people ahead of me in some “waitlist” line. Never again. I had to uber to get to where I needed to go. I would give zero stars but I can’t post without giving at least one.
If only I could have given them a negative 10 points. Worst experience ever. Traveling all day for business. A Gold Member and arrive at the hertz counter in the airport to tremendous lines both regular and gold. Three people at the counter doing nothing but pretending to be busy. God forbid if someone approaches the counter they scream at you and tell you to stay in line and wait till called. Finally saw someone go to the counter and was there for a while.
