I needed to talk to a person. The phone options only directed me to the website. There was no option to hold for a person. So, I pressed “0” several times, whereupon some businesses will say “please hold for assistance” or some such response. Not with Hertz...... the response I got was “Good-bye” and then a disconnect. That’s ok Hertz. I have money and I will never try to give Hertz my business again. :)
They gave us a car with a lagging steering wheel and the anti-collision system was not turned off by default. Very dangerous.
Left us stranded at the start of our trip. Terrible rental company and branch management. Booked a car 2+ months prior to arrival with intention of driving 6+ hours round trip for a wedding while on vacation as well. Ubered from the airport, waited for over 15 minutes for the only employee to finish giving away the last vehicle in the very small lot. Rented in Portland Maine. Managers special rental was not in same class as reservation. Attendant was friendly & accommodating. Car interior & exterior was dirty & obviously not cleaned. I would rate it a solid 3 out of 5. For their overpriced rental Hertz doesn’t measure up at this location
Got a great rate but vehicles available for rental where limited and small
