There's nothing good about this Hertz location. The staff are rude and will outright lie to you about the cars available and leave you with the choice to either upgrade at a huge price increase or be stranded without a car. I've had them lie about availability, invent policies and refuse to show or explain them, tell me they no longer accept any and all forms of payment I try to use, and more. Shawn is great. The car was great. The price was great. This is THE place to rent a car in Eugene.
Hertz in general is a terrible company that routinely practices bait and switch tactics where the online portal will allow you to rent an economy vehicle. However this location never carries economy vehicles and will act as if it's doing you a favor by upgrading you to a car that's more expensive to operate. Cheap prices. Cordial. But don't trust.
Booked a car on thrifty to be picked up at this hertz location in Eugene. Took my money same day as reserved went to pick up and no rental car nor were they helpful at the location. I called the number online they also said there was nothing they could do and I needed do cancel online. They gave no guidance on how to get my full refund & note when booking it said no refunds after 24 hrs of booking. I put in a request and am hoping to get my $200 back.
