Hertz has really fallen far. I’ve been a #1 Club Gold member for many years and it’s sad how diminished Hertz has become. I arrived at the Hertz rental car location at BUF today (with an existing reservation as a #1 Club Gold member) to see that the Gold desk was closed; this is the third time the desk has been ‘temporarily’ closed at BUF. That required me to stand in a line with at least 10 renters ahead of me, which made the rental experience take much longer than planned.

I am not shocked that this Hertz has 900+ bad reviews. This was THE WORST experience of renting a car I have ever had and the team at the Buffalo Niagara Airport (with the exception of one individual) made a really awful situation worse. We rented a car with a carseat. Fun fact: you don't actually get a car with a carseat, you get a car and have to put your rental together yourself. They could not even find the keys to where they locked up the carseats and we waited and waited in the cold dark parking lot with a cranky baby ... read more

I was fraudulently charged for fuel when the gas gauge was above the "full" line. Hertz is charging for services/products not rendered -- I will be reporting these fraudulent charges to my credit card if they are not removed by Hertz. I paid more for Hertz rentals because the customer service is supposed to be better, but if I am going to be scammed then I'll just go back to Avis. Looking at reviews, this seems like a repeat issue for Hertz at Buffalo Airport.

Not sure what is wrong with hertz but the service keeps degrading. I was charged for fuel even though i returned a full tank. I refuled just 2 mins from the airport and still i got charged. This is a very unethical and a new scam to earn money. I have been a long time loyal hertz member but already had couple of bad experiences this year.
