Picked up a rental at Hertz at Burbank airport. The staff lady was very friendly and helped with our special request (related to a specific car).

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I got here to rent a car from thrifty because I guess there all together, got to the counter the woman asked if I had a reservation and I didn’t, she said we don’t have any cars, then I asked if I did make one will I be able to rent a car thur thrifty she said even if u did we still wouldn’t have no cars. Something told me don't come here due to reading the reviews but it’s closer to home now I have to head all the way to lax. You guys differently need to get it together up here.

I feel terrible for ever recommending Hertz car rental to my friends, they rented a car and as they were driving they noticed a big burn hole in the seat clearly from some sort of cigarette. Neither of my friends smoke anything of any kind they are both active military and don't even smoke cigarettes. It was too late for them to go back to tell them about it and even if they did I feel like they would have found a way to pin this on them. Hertz is now trying to pin the blame on my friends. This place is a scam! We rented here and the car had a cigarette burn in the passenger seat when we got it. Neither of us smoke as well so it for sure was not from us. When we returned it, we explained it to Hertz employee and they said "okay no worries" and we put it on the form as well. Then when we returned back home, I'm getting emails about a damage claim for the cigarette burn that was there before we rented it!
