1) I was signed up for insurance when I rented the car even though I declined verbally. Although stressful when noticed, this was resolved upon filing a claim and then discussing the issue upon return of the vehicle. 2) The Vehicle had an air leak in front left tire when I rented it and needed to be refilled with air 3X during the rental period. 3) The Buick SUV was ALL digital and a mystery on how to perform many essential functions during the course of the rental, especially in the dark when the vehicle was first rented.

This location has been sliding downhill faster than Clarke on his sled at Christmas time and it seems to be accelerating somehow. Please refer to the pictures of the Dodge Ram 1500 I reserved and paid for before I arrived. As you can see, very clean (inside and out!) and definitely not a Cheep Compass. I even got the “Yes, sir, we have honored your reservation, but don’t have the vehicle available” line. I really wish I could fail this badly at work and still get paid 35 million a year (CEO take home pay 2024).

When renting my vehicle, the gate agent incorrectly added the LDW charge. I immediately noticed the issue and raised it with one of the general managers, Brent Jackson. He assured me—both verbally and in writing—that the charge would be removed. Despite this commitment, when I returned the vehicle two days later (before 4 AM, while Hertz was closed), the charge was still on my receipt.
