Make your reservation with the site at the airport, twice the website has screwed up and this time customer service was useless.
I rented a car from the Hertz location at O‘hare and returned it to the Green Bay airport Hertz location. When returning the car in Green Bay, the person at the counter asked about fuel and then sent me off. Told me the O‘Hare location was corporate, and they were a franchise, so my receipt would have to be emailed later. I asked him for something to show the car was returned and he provided me with a check in memo and estimated charges of $200. Adam Thomas was extremely rude and uncooperative. To be upfront, my wallet was stolen and I had a digital license issued by the dmv. It included picture, scanable barcode and all required information. I also had a hard copy of my passport, military ID and other hard copy forms of ID.
