Will NOT use Hertz at FAR again. Scheduled flight landed and all the rental car booths were staffed with 2 representatives except Hertz. No one available for almost 10 min. They use an outdated "swipe" credit card machine vs a TAP machine. Got lucky on my 3rd credit card, otherwise she wouldn't rent me the car. Terrible service and I suggest to use another company that has their act together. I love Hertz, just not at FAR.
Be careful if you decide to rent a car here as they will definitely try to charge you extra fees. When I compared the receipt I got after booking the rental with the one I received after returning the car, I noticed that all the prices had been increased and adjusted. They asked for the odometer reading, and even though I provided a photo, they mis-entered the mileage—typing the ten-thousand digit as the hundred-thousand digit—and charged me based on that mistake. Awful customer service. I have an emergency and have to fly back home. I can’t drop off the car at another location outside of Fargo without incurring a huge fee when I’m already paying $240 per day for the car.
This was one of my worst experiences with Hertz, which is especially disappointing as a long-time Hertz Gold member. When I arrived to pick up the car around 4 PM, there was no one at the desk—not even a sign indicating where they were or how to get assistance. I ended up asking staff from other rental companies if they knew how to reach someone.
