We are Hertz Gold members, and we couldn't skip the counter for any of our 3 visits. This latest visit was by far the worst. They tried to pawn off, not one, but two cars with broken headlights; the renter gets to pay the ticket if you're pulled over, btw. They clearly don't inspect their vehicles. Finally, a manager intervened, and instead of a premium, environmentally friendly electric car, which we pre-paid for, they gave us the biggest non-premium gas guzzler on the lot, in California, of all places!
