Overall good experience. The check in ahead aspect of their app didn't work right so even though I got 95% of the way through the check in process (which would have allowed me to avoid the line), I had to wait in line anyway because it showed no vehicles available. After standing in line for about 30 minutes (which is how long it took to process 3 others ahead of me), I get to the desk and they manually run me through the entire check in process again. Terrible experience at the Maui Beach Hotel. We dropped off our rental car here and encountered extremely rude staff. Upon arrival, no one was present for the car rental, so we went to the hotel reception. Three employees, including someone named Nil, rudely told us that they had nothing to do with the rental and it wasn’t their job to assist us. When I tried to use the phone on the counter to call the rental hotline, Nil started yelling at me, saying I couldn’t use it, even though they refused to help us. She kept shouting ... read more

Fast service. Nice car. It’s only 2-3 minutes to walk to the counter from the terminal…faster then the shuttle probably.

I must say the absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered, such a disappointment. Don't expect anybody to ever answer the phones let alone call you back

I tanked the car up to full 3min before drop off and I was still charged a gas fee! Absolute thievery! Of course, the automated customer service number keeps sending me to their website to create a claim. After painful Hertz website shuffle, I finally submitted my claim now to wait 7-10 business days for their review. Anyone willing to deal with this go ahead, I'm keeping away from Hertz indefinitely!
