After I returned the car and went to the Hertz counter I received a Receipt that added $53.27 to my bill for "Fuel & Service" EVEN THOUGH I RETURNED THE CAR FULL OF GAS AND EVEN AFTER I OFFERED TO SHOW THE ATTENDANT THE GAS STATION RECEIPT.
Desk staff was great and vehicle was clean.
Horrible front desk people horrible the worst why do they have people that don't want to work in the front with attitude please hertz you can do better this hurts has already a 2.7 rating are you not looking at your reviews hertz
I have called the local number because there are issues making a summer reservation online and the 1-800 number, the customer service representative is of no help.. No one ever answers the local phone number in Nantucket.
Counter was efficient on pickup, car was clean and ready, but almost out of fuel. Be careful and check your receipt after returning closely. Had a 24-hour rental, 11:30-11:30AM. Hertz has a 29 minute "grace period" after the rental period before you get charged any additional money. Got caught in traffic heading back to the airport, turned my keys in at 11:44AM at the counter, after making sure to refuel and clean out the car a bit, and verifying the 'grace period' at the counter.
