Aug 8 2025. Made a reservation for pick up same day because my personal vehicle is in the shop. Called and verified the deposit and to let them know I was on my way. I get there and the guy behind the counter says he can't rent me a car,(even though hes looking at my reservation on the computer) because they are out of cars and that theres a 5 day minimum on rentals because they are low in cars. Complete waste of time and effort. Why not mention this when I called or when you get the reservation in the first place?
I've rented from this location several times in the last few months. The personnel are always great, they do a good job, the cars are nice and the rates are very good. My only comment is that, even though I always reserve online in advance, the computer process always seems to take longer than it should. I'm not faulting the personnel, just wondering if the computer process needs to be streamlined by Hertz corporate.
I give much respect to Javier for working hard on getting a last minute rental car for me when I really needed it. He handled multiple clients by himself and successfully satisfied everyone’s needs while still working past closing hours to finish the job. Salute to him he deserves employee of the year for going above and beyond. People like him keep these business going.
The guy behind the counter was understanding and nice. He did have to keep calling his boss it seems he was still learning the system. This made the pick up and drop off extremely long. About 30 minutes to pick up the car and drop off took 45 minutes due to the long line and 1 person working the counter. The downside about my rental car was I reserved a gas vehicle. I took my car to a body shop earlier this month for a damage done by a baseball and my insurance covered a car rental. At first I randomly chose Hertz and then a central Hertz number set me up with a rental and said they will deliver my car to the body shop and told me to call this Hertz location on the morning of the rental delivery.
