This location is for sure the worst location i've ever dealt with when it comes to customer service and rentals cars. The general manager will always try to speak to you as a matter of fact and not listen to a word that you have to say. He speaks like if he's talking off of a script. This company has had issues since I ever dealt with them back in 2015 when we used to rent cars from them for our dealership customers and never has changed if anything for the worst. This Hertz location is the worst I’ve seen and deserves a zero star. It’s running a very poor operation. It’s almost like they’re looking to go out of business. I have rented with Hertz on 14th St. many times before as a Hertz Gold Plus, but this experience was another disappointing and reflects poorly on the brand’s commitment to customer service or respecting regular customers. Set up a rental vehicle through my insurance company to use while our car was being repaired. Called a day before to confirm rental with this Bradenton Hertz location. First call was met with complete silence and a hang up. Called back and David answered. I explained that State Farm had set up a reservation for a rental car at this location. His response was "okay." I asked if Hertz was able to meet at the body shop for pick up, response was a quick "negative, you have to come to the Hertz location to pick up the car." I took an Uber to the location only to be told upon arrival that no vehicles were available, despite having a valid reservation in the system. The representative offered me an electric vehicle and suggested I could exchange it at another Hertz location. When I asked him to call and confirm the exchange, he refused, saying there was no guarantee and that he would not make the call.
