My experience is quite good here. Maybe it is because I rented for a weekday. Return process was smooth.
Don’t bother. This company will add charges and treat you like you’re a moron. Anything is better than this. Don’t trust the Hertz website, it’s all misinformation. Even calling the 800 number isn’t going to help.
TL;DR: Hertz told us there'd be a car, there wasn't a car. All they could offer were lame excuses. As someone who rents a car about 1-2/mo and typically goes with Enterprise (for the rewards program and good service), this was one of the rare times I tried to rent from Hertz. It was a late Saturday rental, I made the reservation online and called to check they'd be ready when we arrived. We even got there early to avoid making the staff stay late. booked a last minute reservation and called ahead to confirm there would be a car for us. customer service assured us there was. traveled all the way out there on foot only to find there was no car. apparently the phone number to this place redirects to a customer service line god knows where, and they look to an entirely different location for car availability. definitely a ton of miscommunication, and a huge waste of time.
