Absolutely unacceptable experience with Hertz. We were given a rental vehicle that did not have a valid inspection. On top of that, the vehicle was missing the factory-equipped tire inflation and repair kit. When we had a tire issue, we discovered that the equipment that should have been there simply wasn’t. This isn’t just poor customer service or an inconvenience — this is a basic safety issue. Dylan Wood @ Clearwater showed lack of knowledge and professionalism. Will not return nor recommend. $900 EXTRA billed to me for unauthorized drop after I was ASSURED by Dylan, multiple times, that he would ensure it was returned properly.
I made an appointment through my insurance to get a rental car on Saturday at 10:30. I called an hour before that to make sure everything would be set. I was told I would get a call around 11 to let me know there was a car ready. I called in at 11:58 to see why I hadn’t gotten a call about a car yet. I was immediately put on hold, and stayed on hold for 43 minutes. Until I looked online and saw that they close at 12pm that day. Very poor customer service from the manager. I was overcharged and the rental office completely unaware of problems. I will never go to Hertz in Clearwater again. It doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave it. Suggestion: get a new manager that can adequately handle the job!!!!
