The staff seriously ruins the experience. There was no “hello and welcome” when we walked in, and no one asked if we needed help—even though several employees were just standing around chatting with each other. Both my friend and I were clearly existing Hermès customers and were carrying Hermès bags, yet we were completely ignored. I’ve never felt so YOU ARE NOT WELCOME in my life. Horrible attitude from the staff. Nobody even says HI. The door is always closed, the man at the door never helps. Been at the store for 10 minutes, no one has offered any help or introduced themselves. Won’t ever be back, they’ve ruined my long-lasting positive impression of the brand. I wish I could give 0 starts.
I recently visited Hermes for the first time and was eager to explore their offerings. Upon arrival, I informed the woman at the front that I was interested in purchasing cologne and blankets. When comparing experiences at the maison in Aventura, with others in North America, Europe, and Asia, this location is on par with Calle de Sevilla in Madrid or maybe even a Monoprix, which is to say limited selection and poor quality retail associates. Regarding the former, the selection of écharpes is extremely limited, and to the latter, the aloofness of associates is absurd.
