Mom was very happy at Ruby Commons. The building was clean (and smelled fresh), well decorated and updated so it felt homey. The staff was wonderful and attentive with her and she talked about how they would check on her, remind her when it was time to go down to lunch and they’d always take the time to visit with her and get to know her. Having them dispense her daily medications gave me such peace of mind. There is a good variety of in-house and offsite activities available there.
Do not send your loved ones to Ruby Commons. They only want your money. Your loved ones will be taken advantage of. Jason soloninka always has a smile on his face and carries a kind demeanor, but when you look underneath the service level he is condescending, manipulative, and will gaslight you into thinking otherwise. I have been caregiving for 5-6 years and I am a college student attending UW-Parkside so I am actively gaining critical thinking skills in order to understand the experiences I go through.
From a caregivers perspective, this is the perfect temporary job specifically for students that are thinking about going into the health field and do not know where to start. It is also recommended to look on Glass Door for a more diverse, honest, and thorough review of Ruby Commons.
