I find it deplorable that patients who were referred to Bayhealth by the Occupational Health center should have to wait hours (going on 6 hours now)for a chest x-ray. But a strep culture was more important. Both procedures do not take this long. The patients were referred due to smoke inhalation from a recent fire at their home. One of the patients has asthma & the other patient is 11 years old & shouldn't have to wait this long to have their needs attended too. This is the worst hospital that I've seen in Kent county. The Doctors are clueless and will use you as a guinea pig if you let them. The rooms smell like an old folks home and the care us absolutely horrible. Go to your private Doctor or urgent care for professional and better service I highly not recommend Kent General/ Bay health for anything. Save your life and stay away from this dump. Period.

My mom was hospitalized numerous times throughout a 3-month period and needed numerous specialists and surgeries. None of the doctors communicated with the other. Twice a doctor would start to discharge her only for a different doctor to rescind it. Tests or medications would be prescribed by one doctor only to be changed by another the very same day. There were countless times we had to wait for days for tests to be taken, doctors to look at the results, transfusions to happen, medications to be given, etc. The nursing staf... read more

Today, After giving this Hospital a well deserved terrible rating on Google, My 92 year Mother was seen for a fall on Saturday and had 2 Prior visits for falling. FINALLY , After a10hr wait in the emergency room she was admitted. She was being released today a nurse wheeled her outside. My MOM said she wanted to Walk to the car and that INCOMPETENT NURSE LET HER. She FELL AGAIN BEFORE REACHING THE CAR! They had to take her back in for X-rays. every time I come here with me or one of my family members , the wait is ridiculous, nurses attitudes are nasty , and everyone is just rude ... I went into the hospital for a simple outpatient procedure. I will say that the entire medical staff were very good. However, because of hospital procedure I was placed in a very uncomfortable position which made the entire experience was extremely unpleasant. When I addressed my complaint to management their attitude was basically "we're sorry it happened but we really don't care". Outstanding. We have a family member in the Neuro ICU and we could not be more thankful for the attentive, compassionate and professional care he is receiving. I wish I could remember all of the names, because they have all been amazing/ We will always remember Lauren and Jessica as true angels. Terrible hospital .!!!! Last place I would go to nurse didn't care what so ever and my boyfriend was brought in by ambulance and had to wait even while in pain for 2 days he has pancreatitis was it the hospital night before and they released him with no pain medicine just nausea medicinebthey said they were waiting on rooms when I seen 2 rooms open clean and only one person in lobby.!
