The Henry County District Attorney's office appears to be failing in its duty under O.C.G.A. 17-17-1. It seems their investigators lack basic computer skills, limiting victim contact attempts to standard mail (not even certified) and phone calls. Alarmingly, if these initial methods fail, they cease all efforts, presuming a lack of interest from the victim, even with clearly disconnected phone numbers. As a victim in a case handled by the Henry County District Attorneys Office, I must express my profound dissatisfaction with their handling of my case. It is my firm belief that the office demonstrated a lack of competence, compounded by their unwillingness to acknowledge apparent errors. The initial felony charge of aggravated assault was reduced to a nolo contendere plea resulting in a non-report probation of 12 months and a minimal $9 monthly fee. I wish I could leave negative stars. They force people to sit in jail for months with no evidence. They were given too much power and authority and do not use it to benefit the county or the people of the county. This county has really gone to shambles over the past 3-4 years. I hope everyone votes this year.

I am absolutely disgusted. This is the only county you can commit a quadruple malicious murder in and not be given a death sentence. Do the right thing.
