As a former employee I have nothing but good things to say about the work Joel and John do. They were incredibly thoughtful and understanding as employers and took care of their clients in any way shape or form. They provide services above and beyond what any CPA firm has that I have seen. Heiserman Young, PC is a fantastic place to work for and an even better CPA firm to have your tax needs met.
This is probably the worst CPA firm I have ever used. Joel is a real piece of work. He ignored us from the start even so we told him we were on a deadline and needed our work done quickly- He made that promise during the introduction meeting and then was dodging our calls ever-since. I overheard Elizabeth getting on his case about it when my call was accidentally not placed on hold. Apparently he does it to all his clients. Go elsewhere. Not worth the $ or the headache.
Joel and his team really care about providing great service. I've used him for over twenty years. Solid service.
Terrible experience. Find an accountant you can trust. I was lied to from the start and it only got worse. Remember you will be responsible for all the penalties and fines from the IRS even if the accountant screws up.
More of a partner in our financial planning than an accountant. They run our payroll too. Very happy.
