A Little Rock Tradition, with reason!
When I was an infant, my parents chose a beautiful Steiff bear from the Heights Toy Center as a gift. I loved that bear and she was with me until I went away for college. Now that I have my own children, the HTC is the first place I look when I want a high quality toy that will stand the test of time.
The HTC carries a large variety of quality toys, though they do not have many more common toys that you could find at a chain store (no cheap plastic stuff, Barbies, matchbox cars, etc). For young children, they have Brio wooden toys; they carry nice wooden dollhouses and furniture for older children, as well as the line of Only Heart Club dolls; and they have many building and Playmobil toys also. For the toddler set, they have a large selection of Thomas the Tankengine and Brio wooden train items, and they give customers the option of buying wooden track pieces individually ($2 per piece).
Though sales and clearance prices are rare, you do get what you pay for at HTC. If you're looking for a heirloom-quality toy in the LR area, I wholeheartedly recommend checking them out.
PROS: very nice brands which are otherwise hard to find in LR
CONS: pricey, limited selection
