I was recommended to Heather by my sister and a few friends who worked with her for their wedding dresses. I had lots of things to work on with Heather -the wedding dress my mother and grandmother (and two aunts!) wore was decaying in a box in her basement for about 30 years. It fit me pretty well but very demure (long sleeves, high neck). My mom said no one else will use it so make use of it! I highly recommend Heather! I went specifically for my wedding dress alterations. She was the only person/business I contacted that reach back out to me. She was warm and welcoming during the initial consultation. I was considering a specific alteration but she was honest with me and said that it was not necessary. My project with Heather was much simpler than most who review her work: I bought some wonderful fabric and wanted a blouse made with it. The quality of the work, consultations and interactions was just lovely and I'll return for any other work in the future.
I went to Heather because of the great things I heard about her, however, my experience was not like the others! When I originally brought my dress to her, I was not very confident in myself. I made a few comments about not feeling 100% comfortable in my dress or my weight yet.. Heather said to me “So why did you even buy this dress then?” It made me feel worse! Heather is amazing and talented! She makes sure you love how your dress looks on you once it is fitted perfectly! She takes the time to get to know you as well!. I would highly recommend her.
