If your insurance is not paying you get treated less than human. You don’t receive the services they promise. The business office will not assist you. They will threaten to get attorneys involved for the care of elderly that do not understand. The Sprenger family is wealthy and I wonder if they know how poorly these facilities treat humans, would they do anything? If I could rate this facility negatively, that would be the rating. I only can give one star because the rehab side is decent. Wait times for things like help to the bathroom are long but otherwise it's ok. However, the nursing side is atrocious. My MIL was hurried into a decision to take the supposed only available bed that conveniently opened up when she became self pay. When I had called about staffing concerns I was told, defensively, that the levels were at ohio law minimum. My father was admitted to Heather Knoll a few weeks ago for therapy , I was a little disappointed of how unorganized everything was when he first was admitted , had some issues with some of the aids, not knowing what his needs were and we’re rough with him. I suggested that they put a board up in each person‘s room so AIDS would know what their needs are & and for those that have short-term memory, a checklist that family members would know what they have done with their daily tasks, such as brushing teeth, etc. I was told i... read more
