A lovely small hotel in a quiet spot with great views. Marion is very knowledgeable and caring about her community, shared lots of information and happily answered our many questions about island life. Breakfasts were excellent and one evening we enjoyed dinner from a menu catering for all tastes. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Highly recommend Heathbank Hotel.
Very mixed feelings on this place, cannot fault the cleanliness or the ambience of the place , but first thing we were told was they don't go in to clean your room each day, evening meal we felt she'd be a lot happier if we'd have ate elsewhere , she kept telling us about the Craigaurd and the Castlebay hotel, it kept being mentioned it was end of season , well you are either open or closed, when we asked about evening meal for the following evening it was well you might not want to eat here, ... yes we do , we don't want to... read more

A lovely stay on Barra. Marion and her team were incredibly welcoming and ensured we had a wonderful stay. They saved us a table for dinner on the night we arrived off the ferry and dinner was absolutely delicious, with a gorgeous view over the local bay. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty as well. We would gladly return to this little slice of paradise.
