I am disabled and my husband also could no.longer work; triple spine surgery. We own a modest home that desperately needed repairs. If we sold it, we'd walk away with only the shirts on our backs. Rent for a small 1 bdrm apt is $500-600 more per month than our home pymt. Impossible. Applied for loan to fix house but turned down as we don't earn enough money. No heat no ac.
