My parents have stayed at this facility while recovering from surgery and/or health issues multiple times. Everything seems very clean and well-maintained and meals are excellent. Security is also excellent as everyone has to sign in and there is only one entrance open. There is a well-stocked game room, library, and television/internet gathering rooms. My mother was at Heartland Oakland last month and we couldn't be happier with her results! The staff was friendly, the environment was bright and clean and the food was very tasty. We would recommend this center to anyone in need. Karen

The PT is good but the nursing staff and doctors are not. They dehydrated my mother and her sodium was low, stomach distended, and she was throwing up. They said they are handling it and argued with my sister and I about sending her to Beaumont. I said well either you call an ambulance or I will. The doctor told me you can take her your self. I said she is unable to walk or transfer, call an ambulance. Your choice you or me. Well you will have to pay for it then. I said fine. Mom was in the hospital for over a week. The ambu... read more

My mother was a patient here a couple months ago and I couldn't have asked for a better nursing center!! She was treated with respect and everyone was beyond kind. My mom is now home and doing excellent. If she ever needs rehabilitation again, Heartland Oakland is our first and only choice!

My grandmother was a patient at Heartland on the second floor. Every time we visited we saw the same nurses and aides. My Grandma got to know each of them and they got to know her. They write their names on the patient's boards and we could see she had the same nurses and aides on night shift also. The staff all work together and support eachother. The hospital could have sent me home but I didn't feel that I was strong enough, that's why I chose Heartland for rehabilitation. I highly recommend Heartland-Oakland. -Ruth

When I first arrived at Heartland Health Care Center-Oakland, I was unable to stand or walk after undergoing a leg amputation. After touring multiple centers, I chose Heartland as my place for rehabilitation. The entire staff was nothing but warm and helpful. I not only got better physically, but mentally as well. I continue to recommend Heartland to anyone in need of short-term rehabilitation! -William
