A friend issued a check to reimburse me for a ticket I bought for a local event. I went with my drivers license and the signed check to Heartland Banksdrive up window, where the windows are blocked out (you can’t see the tellers) and you have to talk to the teller over a Closed circuit television. DO NOT BANK HERE! I went in to assist my mother with banking. She has memory loss. They treated me like I was financially abusing her and even mentioned elder abuse. Bank vigilence is extremely important. Elder abuse is a horrendous crime. This was not bank vigilence. This was Heartland Bank making sure to protect themselves at the expense of my mother's ACTUAL wellbeing.
