Heart & Soul Hospice is an amazing group of people. The staff go above and beyond to make their patients, as well as the family members, comfortable. The compassion shown by everyone on their team is definitely felt by all who have a loved one on their services.
Our family recently had to experience a very stressful and heartbreaking time when my mother had to be placed on hospice after her bleak diagnosis of gastric cancer. We immediately signed her up with Heart and Soul hospice, which turned out to be a godsend. We experienced the very best care that we could imagine. Our experience was surely supported by my mom who placed her trust and care in the nurses, aides, social worker and chaplain. I would rate lower if I could. We informed them we want to discontinue their services and why, and they were extremely rude about it. We told them we were going to bjc and that we think it is a better fit. They said that we will be disappointed. I wouldn't use this hospice service if it was the last one on earth. Funny how as soon as I reviewed the reviews started blowing up. There were none until we told our stories.
I truly don't understand the negative reviews. My MIL was on Heart and Soul Hospice, and thankfully the decision was made relatively early. H&S made her final 4-5 months as comfortable as possible and provided all the equipment and care she needed. The nurse was great as well as the other caregivers including the chaplain. My MIL was able to spend her final months/weeks/days in her own home in comfort with compassionate support and care by H&S surrounded by her family - it was the best choice we could have made.
