Amazing hardwood supplier, with an extra space specifically geared toward guitar makers. I drive 2 hours to get there a few times a year, and it's always worth it.
My experience was very pleasant. The staff is wonderful and this place is a truly one of a kind hardwood lumber yard. They have a massive collection of highly figured boards and slabs in many MANY different species. These pieces are priced steeply but for a special focal point of a project, Hearn is the place to find it. The only reason that I am giving this 4 stars rather than 5 is that all of the standard nonfigured lumber I can find for $1-2 per bdft cheaper at the same or better grade. The place smells amazing! I drove out here with acid wash Adam and Julia. I think we are all restless and in need of a project, Adam has been saying that he wanted to make a trellis for as long as I’ve known him (about one year and 4 months), and Julia wants to learn how to widdle. I really had no use for wood, but I bought one piece of wood anyway because I thought it looked like a cow and I felt inspired. I wonder what I will make with it Thanks, Haley
I’ve used Hearne Hardwoods as my main hardwood source in my furniture business for over 25 years. They are a first class family business from the owners to the folks in the mill to the folks in the office…knowledgeable, friendly and ready to help any way they can.
Great selection. Very helpful and pleasant staff. After my first visit this will be my new go-to.
