My mom got hearing aids from the Hearing Healthcare Center in Columbus, Nebraska in February, 2023. I have been going with her to nearly all of her appointments. The hearing aids have helped my mom hear me speak at my normal volume. Mom has a choice of 3 settings on her hearing aids to use in different situations. She can switch between the preprogrammed "Normal" setting - the setting she uses the most", a "Crowd" setting, and a "Meetings" setting.
